Water is lazy
Given the choice, water picks the easiest way down to the sea.
Like every time, without fail.
It doesn’t complicate things, it keeps things simple.
Should we call this being lazy?
Or should we call it clever?
Often, we tend to over complicate things, to find a difficult path to take, when all along there is an easier, simpler way right there in-front of us.
We tend to add bits on to design, rather than take bits off.
We try to do more, and not less.
We look at progress as a new idea, rather an old idea that has been proven to work.
So maybe water is more clever, than lazy.
Maybe we could learn a lot from water.
When it meets a barrier, it finds a way to get around it.
Often when we meet an obstacle, we try to go through it.
Repeatedly, with the same result.
We don’t have a mind like water.
We don’t flex, bend, or evolve to what lies before us.
Yeah, water is smart.
We could learn a lot from just watching it.
